LED Array

Patent Pending dual zone LED array to precisely emulate the filament of a Tungsten fixture, consisting of an Amber section, surrounded by an RGB section.
Furthermore, the first light zone has a shape that includes a substantially strip-shaped portion, which allows, for example, the shape of a filament to be modeled.

This accounts for the fact that a filament typically does not have a homogeneous temperature distribution and thus, especially when operating at low power or during startup and shutdown, glows more brightly at one or more hot spots, which can be perceived as a slightly enlarged point of light when viewed directly.
